Many people love the faith and can’t explain it.
Catechism stayed in childhood
For many, the last time they studied the faith was when preparing for First Communion.
The questions come
A child, a friend or a coworker asks, and the answer doesn’t come. A faith we don’t know is hard to share.
Studying alone is tiring
A thick book on the shelf is daunting. A little every day, with a path, goes a long way.
The Doctrine lays out that path: a plan at your pace, from 30 days to 1 year, and a little each day until you have gone through the whole catechism.
Read. Answer. Learn it by heart.
Sign up and go in
A quick sign-up and the whole catechism opens on your phone, tablet or computer.
Do today’s lesson
Five questions, in the catechism’s order. Try to answer before you see the answer.
Review what you forgot
Mark “I knew it” or “see again”. What you forget comes back in review until it sticks.

Every day has its lesson.
When you open the app you find the question of the day and your next lesson, with your progress through the catechism.

The answer appears only when you ask.
Read the question, answer in your head and only then see the answer. That is how you learn by heart.

All 433 questions, by chapter.
The Creed, the Commandments, the Sacraments and prayer, in 21 chapters. Search for a word and go straight to the question.

Quizzes, review and catechesis mode.
Multiple choice and complete-the-answer, by topic. What you miss comes back after 1, 3, 7 and 15 days. And catechesis mode, with large text, to study in a group.
The catechism of St. Pius X, as it was written
Published in 1912 by order of St. Pius X for the diocese of Rome, this catechism of 433 questions formed generations of Catholics. The text is in the public domain; the translation is our own, made from the Italian original, and is under review. For the Church’s current teaching on every point, consult the Catechism of the Catholic Church and your parish priest.

How much does it cost?
It's free. You don't have to pay anything.
Which catechism is this?
It is the Catechism of Christian Doctrine published in 1912 by order of St. Pius X: 433 questions and answers. It is different from the much longer Catechism of the Catholic Church of 1992.
Has the text been updated?
No. The text is presented as it was written. On some points of discipline (such as fasting before Communion) the Church later changed its rules; for those, consult the Catechism of the Catholic Church and your parish priest.
How long does it take?
You choose the plan: 30 days (about 15 questions a day), 3 months (5 a day, about five minutes), 1 year, or the liturgical year, from the First Sunday of Advent to Christ the King (1 or 2 a day). You can change plans without losing what you have done.
Is it good for catechesis?
Yes, as a help. Catechists and parents can use catechesis mode, with large text and the answer hidden, to study in a group, but the app does not replace parish catechesis.
How do I start?
Tap “Start”, do the quick sign-up and confirm your email with the code you receive. On another device, use the same email.
Do I have to download it from an app store?
No. The app opens in your browser and can be added to your phone’s home screen, where it opens full screen.
